Farrer Residence

Creating a Great Venue for Family Celebrations - Privately Built Farrer 1970’s

The house was a typical brick veneer 70’s home and needed changes to create space, to improve ventilation and natural lighting as well as bring it in line with current approaches to energy efficiency.  Phillips and Associates achieved this by a small addition to the existing house and raising the roof over the centre of the house to provide windows and good natural light to the renovated kitchen.

Wall, ceiling and floor insulation was added to the house along with double glazing to new windows and natural ventilation control.  These elements combined to keep the home at a stable temperature and raise its energy efficiency rating.
